And The Winner Is...

Well We'll find out in 2 hours! I just started watching it.

But I'll give you a run-down of the whole show as it goes.

Beginning with the opening number performed by the 10 contestants previously voted off, and can I just say... IT SUCKED!! I HATED IT! The highlight of that number was when the dance break happened and when Josh fell trying to be all cool. Just. Please!

Then Phil rocked the house with former CCR frontman Jon Fogerty. LOVED IT! Thanks Phil for bringing the TALENT back to the show. Just goes to show why you were voted into the final 2. I'm sure it has NOTHING to do with the fact that you're a cute WGWG (white guy with guitar) haha the past 3-4 years suggest the White Guy W/ a Guitar is the clear winner. First they sang Have You Ever Seen The Rain then into Bad Moon Rising. Right up Phil's alley. This is just a preview of what his CD should sound like. CCR mixed with Mumford & Sons.

The montage of all the horrible auditions and crazy antics  really wasn't needed. We saw it in the audition round. Thanks for wasting our time....

I take that back, this mess is hilarious! Keep. It. Going.

Then there was the Josh Ledet & Fantasia disaster. Good Lord almighty what just happened. From her hair to the outfit to the voice. I just cannot handle this. If I were watching by myself I would be fast-forwarding. But alas... I am not so I must suffer. And then the producers got smart and cut them off & went to commercial.
Thank you! THANK. YOU!

Dear Josh,
This is why you were eliminated.
The End.

Thank you Jimmy for never getting J-Ho's name right. She doesn't deserve the time or energy. The she-devil. Go hide in a hole somewhere...

Up next is the ladies of the top 12. I have not a clue what they sang, I just know the hook was sampled in a Kanye West song. Which is disappointing, but they sounded good. Then they sang I'm Every Women with Chaka Khan (who came out in a skin-tight brown something. My sister said she looked like a giant turd. I kinda agree! WHO DRESSES THESE PEOPLE???????) I liked Erika's hair better dark though. She shouldn't have messed with a good thing. I forgot about Shannon. There was a reason for that. She wasn't very good.

Can I just interject here for a second. I heard a rumor that my boo Philly Phil will be taken to the hospital right after the finale and will NOT be on the tour. Say WHAT? He better be there! I will cry forever if he's not. I'll donate both my kidneys if I have to.

Back to the show... Oh never mind. It's just dumb Rihanna. I just threw up in my mouth a little. That was an excellent lip sync job you did RiRi. Way to make a mockery of the very thing you do to make all your millions. (if you even make that much) But good job making sure you sound all out of breath like you actually did something out there.
You get a gold star.

Steven Tyler's hysterical.
Jessica Sanchez sang I Will Always Love You.
Guys of the top 12. Not sure this was a needed performance. So I'll skip it.
Deandre better watch out in Detroit. I'm bringing my clippers.
Where's Neil Diamond????
That's right... Neil saves the day with Sweet Caroline.
Take notes guys.
And then they SANG THE PHONE BOOK!!!
Are you kidding me??

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz of sorry JLo's on stage and I fell asleep. Excellent choice of outfits. Your hips look massive! I'm done.

Hollie Cavanagh & Jordin Sparks sang. and that's 5 minutes I wish I could have back.
Add another 6-7 for the Robin Gibb tribute. Sad for the loss, but It wasn't a good tribute.

Jessica Sanchez & Jennifer Holiday? I guess I missed that Jennifer Hudson didn't originally sing that song. My bad. Beautiful wig she's got on though. Kudos hair people.
How Jessica is NOT dying of laughter watching J. Holiday perform I will NEVER understand. That was hilarious! Sounded awesome, but the faces were killing me!

Then some Aerosmith thing happened and I fell asleep again.
Jessica & Phil sang a duet and my heart broke a little because you can tell just by looking at him that Phil really is not feeling well.

They waited until the last 30 seconds of the TWO HOUR SHOW to announce the winner. And it ran over... SHOCKER!

And the winner is... *drum roll please*
ME!
Kidding

PHILLIP PHILLIPS WINS!

But I really win too, because Philly Phil was my choice to win and now I get a free dinner.
The. End.

American Idol Round Up - Finale Night 1

But it's TUESDAY!!! It's not American Idol night... Oh WAIT! It's finale week so we start a day earlier. Why, you ask? Because SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE starts this week!!!!!!!! yayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayayaya
Can you tell I'm excited? haha

We're just gonna get right to it!

Round 1 - Simon Fuller Picks
Jessica Sanchez - I Have Nothing - Whitney Houston
I thought she sang very well, BUT for the finale I thought it would be so much MORE! I expected more from her and she disappointed.

Phillip Phillips - Stand By Me - Ben E. King
I love Phillip's style. I just love that voice, but again, I expected more from him being the FINAL performance before the winner is announced.

*I think I agree with the judges, sadly, that Jessica won the first round.

Round 2 - Contestant Choice
Jessica Sanchez - The Prayer - Celine Dion
This was more like what I was expecting. It was big and powerful and she held it at all the right moments. She's a ballad girl, but it has to be the right ballad. She doesn't seem very diverse in that regard.

Phillip Phillips - Movin' Out - Billie Joel
Yay Phillip! This was so much better! It just goes to show you that just because the big-wig thinks you'd sing a song well doesn't mean he's right SIMON FULLER! haha kidding, but really they both did so much better on the songs they picked.

*I say Phillip took this round, the judges disagree. Steven says Jessica, Randy says it's even and JLo says Phillip. So thanks for a whole lotta nothing judges.

Round 3 - Jimmy Iovine (winner's 1st single)
Jessica Sanchez - Change Nothing - Original
The song written for Jessica was slow... SHOCKER. She's a sit on the piano and belt singer, I'm not a fan. She did however sing the song very well. Not well enough to win in my opinion. Not sure if it's her singing or the song itself. Just not a winner for me.

Phillip Phillips - Home - Original
YES, YES, YES! It was very Mumford & Sons-esque and I LOVED IT! Finally a great song written for a finalist! This song was made of all kinds of awesome. Phillip for the win! He's AMAZEBALLS!

*Randy agreed it sounded Mumford & Son-ish. Dumb JLo thinks it's like nothing on the radio and Steven agrees on it's awesomness. Phillip wins round 3!

My prediction - PHILLIP PHILLIPS of course! Like there was ever a question! Everyone go vote for Philly Phil! And get ready to start hearing HOME on your radios SOON!

Thursday, May 17, 2012

Well... I Didn't See That Coming.

So. I was right & I was wrong.
I was right that Phil was safe (like there was any doubt) but I was wrong that it was Jessica going home.
This saddens me.
I really thought we were going to have an all male final.
Sorry Jess... Philly Phil gets the hot dude vote and you lose.
Better luck next time. ;)
B-T-Dubs. Sorry if I spoiled it for anyone. You really should have watched it live.

American Idol Round Up

Dear Randy,
Why try to speak when you don't know what you're trying to say. Spit. It. Out!
Sincerely,
Your Dawg Jess

Round 1 - Judges Picks
Josh Ledet - I'd Rather Go Blind - Etta James (Picked by Randy Jackson)
I really enjoyed this! Until he got to the "Baby, Baby, Baby" part and started on that growling garbage he does. You almost had a fan in me Josh... Almost.

Jessica Sanchez - My All - Mariah Carey (Picked by Jennifer Lopez)
Either her voice is going out, or she is trying to sing to low for her range. Either way I really feel like she dropped the ball on this one.

Phillip Phillips - Beggin' - The Four Seasons (Picked by Stephen Tyler)
As always... Phil's a boss. I loved it! I cannot wait for a Phillip Phillips CD.

Round 2 - Contestant Choice
*Josh's home visit - Long & Boring... Just sayin...*
Josh Ledet - Imagine - John Lennon
I love this song, and even with the growliness I still liked Josh's version. Definitely makes up for the first song.

*Jessica's Home Visit - Like the background music. But she bored me.*
Jessica Sanchez - I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing - Aerosmith
This was much better than her first song. The judges really should pick better songs!! Geeze J-lo... are you trying to cost her the competition???

*Phil's Home Visit - Loved. It. (Can you tell I'm biased?)*
Phillip Phillips - Disease - Matchbox 20
Again... I loved it. I really feel like they should just give Phil the title and be done with it! So much easier.

*Randy needs to be kicked off the panel. He makes no sense!*

Round 3 - Jimmy Iovine's Pick
Josh Ledet - No More Drama - Mary J. Blige
I love this song, and I feel that he did it justice. Didn't blow me away though. Then again, he never really has. So there's that.

Jessica Sanchez - I'll Be There - Jackson 5
Ok Jimmy gets major brownie points for picking this song! She did sing it very well. Best of her 3 performances.

Phillip Phillips - We've Got Tonight - Bob Seger
I. LOVE. THIS. SONG! Thank you Jimmy, you are my hero, and thank you Phillip for singing so brilliantly! Perfect way to end the show! Now everyone go vote for PHILLY PHIL!

My prediction:
I believe it will be Jessica Sanchez and (as much as I love him) Phil. I think Jessica will be going home. She just really dropped this week. FINAL 2 - Phil & Josh!

Night Ya'll!

Thursday, May 10, 2012

Oops...

I totally forgot to make my prediction for American Idol last night!
Man, I'm really off my game right now!
Hopefully my weekend in Madison will cure this absentmindedness.

Moving on...
MY PREDICTION!
(going off last week it is going to be a bottom 2 again)
I believe that Hollie Cavanagh & Jessica Sanchez are going to be in the bottom 2.
Hollie because she just isn't as strong as the other 3.
Jessica because while she is an excellent singer technically, she just hasn't been getting the votes. (America is probably on my side and they're just bored:)

As much as I don't want to see her go, I believe Hollie will get the boot this week. Unless America decides to make the right choice and get rid of Jessica.
You know you want to.
I guess we will see in T minus 8 hours if I was right or not.
Until then blog world....

American Idol: It's Performance Day!

Here we go again kids. It's Wednesday and you know what that means! American Idol performance day. Before I get to my recap I must say that I'm sad Skylar is gone, and The Dog Randy Jackson looks like he is putting some weight back on. Maybe it's the jacket?

Let's get down to business, shall we?

Round One - California Dreamin'
Phil Phillips - Have You Ever Seen The Rain - Credence Clearwater Revival
My first thought... THIS SONG IS PERFECT FOR HIM! I was right... Like always. (other than last weeks results but I'm pretending like that never happened. Don't. Judge. Me!)

**BTW at this point of the evening my sense of smell is being assaulted by taco flavored popcorn. Someone save me!**

Hollie Cavanagh - Faithfully - Journey
Not as strong as strong as River Deep, Mountain High from last week, but it got a lot better the further along in the song she got. I think she finished strong and she picked a good song. I just wish she had the confidence she had last week.

Josh Ledet - You Raise Me Up - Secret Garden
You know I'm not a Josh fan... but you guys... HE KILLED THIS SONG!!! It really was the perfect song choice for his voice! I'm kinda sorta maybe a fan of you... but ONLY for this song. Only. This. Song.

Jessica Sanchez - Steal Away - Etta James
Typical powerhouse Jessica... YAAAAWN... I'm so over her! See... I knew my support for her wouldn't last long...

Duets/Groups:
Josh Ledet & Phil Phillips - This Love - Maroon 5
Really??? Why are we doing this pairing again??? We didn't learn from last week??? Apparently not... BUT WAIT!! This song was so much better! It was a better balance of their voices. It didn't constantly feel like Josh was under-singing to match Phil. I actually kinda dug it...

Jessica Sanchez & Hollie Cavanagh- Eternal Flame - The Bangles
No big surprise here, but I liked Hollie more than Jessica. I think they melded together great, but Hollie was SOLID, Jessica felt shakey.  Good job overall. Except that big note at the end... OUCH. Hollie was high, Jessica was flat. Hollie. For. The. Win!

**Sidebar - I want to see Rock Of Ages!!! Even though Tom Cruise is in it.**

Final Four - Waiting For A Girl Like You - Foreigner
Again, Josh looks bored, but he's on tune and brings it! Hollie is great, Jessica can just leave the stage and Phil... You're always awesome... Besides that whole Time Of The Season mishap from last week. I'm also going to pretend THAT never happened.

Round Two - Songs They Wish They'd Written
Phil Phillips - Volcano - Damien Rice
This song gave me chills. I really hope Phil wins because I want NEED more of this! I totes agree with Randy, My Dog, it was his best performance to date. Nothing more needs to be said. Yay Phil!

Hollie Cavanagh - I Can't Make You Love Me - Bonnie Raitt
I love this song. I love Hollie. Please make the emotional connection, I beg of you. She sang beautifully, but I didn't fully feel that connection. Almost there, but not quite. She needed to let some of the notes simmer a little longer. That would have helped.

Josh Ledet - It's A Man's Man's Man's World - James Brown
Ok, I'll give it to him... He killed that. The most perfect song he could have ever picked EVER! Good job Josh. Enjoy tonight, because you deserved it.

Jessica Sanchez - And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going - Jennifer Holliday
While it was a good performance technically, I really didn't care for it. I just can't get on bored the Jessica Sanchez train. I'm over it.

I would like to close this evenings post with a letter to Jennifer Lopez.

Dear JLo,
What's with the hair?
You look like a freak.
Sincerely,
The whole wide world.

American Idol: Results Show

Ok, I gave you my prediction last night. (because I actually watched the night it was on. Go. Me. :) And here is what I predicted:

Bottom 3: Hollie Cavanagh

Josh Ledet

& Jessica Sanchez.

Eliminated: Hollie Cavanagh.

I'm about to start the show to see if I'm right. Just waiting on my slow poke mom to finish the performances. She seems to think my boy Philly Phil is in trouble. Oye! Silly mama... Ok here we go!

J-Lo & Steven Tyler are wearing matching silvery/goldy metallic outfits.
Bleh... J-Lo makes me want to kick puppies.

No opening song, threw me off. I was all set to get my judge on.
There only doing a bottom 2, that threw me double off! So I guess my prediction do-over is Hollie & Jessica in the bottom 2, Hollie is still my pick to go home.

Josh is up first, and he is NOT in the bottom 3. I was wrong. This feels weird. haha I guess he wasn't as bored as he looked, and America made the wrong choice, AGAIN.

COLDPLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! I love you Chris Martin, you can play piano and sing to me about Paradise ANY. DAY. Gwenyth who?

Side Note: sweetest instrument decorations, EVER! Someone give them a cookie.

Up next is Hollie & Phillip. Ouch with the harshness Jimmy. Maaaaaaaaan!
Hollie's in the bottom 2, Phillip is SAFE! A-DUHHH (Take that mom! I'm in for at least another week. Boo-ya Kasha!

Carrie Underwood performed. She looked stunning. I didn't love the song. Moving on...

Final results are Jessica & Skylar. Fun Fact: My mom has Hollie, Jessica AND Skylar, so one of her people are DEFINITELY going home tonight. HA
Jessica is SAFE and Skylar is in the bottom 2.

So I'm 50/50 on my bottom 2 and I get to listen to Colplay sing again. Night. Is. Made.

Eliminated: Skylar Laine. I WAS WRONG!! How can this be? I'm always right, I'm a girl!

There you have it folks, all my thoughts on the American Idol elimination show.

American Idol: Performance Night

I'm going to open today's post with a letter to Steven & a letter to Phil.

Dear Steven Tyler
the grey chunk of hair you have up front there... LOOKS STUPID! Please do everyone a solid and dye it or shave it off. Your choice, just get rid of it!
Sincerely, The Whole Wide World.

Dear Philly Phil,
I found out you have a girlfriend tonight. I'm officially devastated.
How. Dare. You.
Sincerely, Heartbroken in White Lake

Now that that's out of the way, let's talk about the performances shall we??

60's Jams

Hollie Cavanagh - River Deep, Mountain High -Ike & Tina Turner
Umm welcome to American Idol Hollie, glad you could finally join us! Seriously? Where have you been hiding all of that this whole dang show? Her first song of the evening was amazeballs. Just. Sayin'.

Phillip Phillips - The Letter - The Box Tops
I love you Phil. I love how every week you come in here and totally change a song to make it "Philly Phil Style", you just make them so different and new. Love it!

Skylar Laine - Fortunate Son - Credence Clearwater Revival
I HATED the song choice, but she sang the crap out of it! She performed her little butt off & I gotta give her credit for that.

Jessica Sanchez - Proud Mary - Tina Turner
Brace yourself... I'm going to defend Jessica in 3... 2... 1... She is SO much better than that song! I usually don't like her, but I really felt bad tonight! Again, song choice is key people! And Jessica dear, please don't try to dance again. Please.

Josh Ledet - Ain't To Proud To Beg - The Temptations
Josh to me, just looked bored the whole performance! I mean, I'm normally pretty hard on him, but if you aren't gonna put you're heart into it why be there????

Phillip Phillips & Josh Ledet - You've Lost The Loving Feeling - Righteous Brothers
Oh someone please stab my eardrums with a pencil!! Are you nuts AI??? That was the world's worst pairing ever! Ugh, way to bring them down when it counts the most!

British Pop Tunes

Hollie Cavanagh - Bleeding Love - Leona Lewis
Waah Waah... This song was really not the ending she needed. Her first song was so much better. Bad song choice Hollie, you're better than that. That last big note was killer though.

Phillip Phillips - Time of the Season - The Zombies
I don't know if I like that you sang the original melody. I just really don't know. You're very sexual though... Just thought you might like to refer back to the above letter. You have a GIRLFRIEND. I know I'm hot & all... but you're committed... Sheesh. And the high notes just didn't happen for you. Stop it, right this instance!

Skylar Laine - You Don't Have To Say You Love Me - Dusty Springfield
Even just the rehearsal was amazing! That one long note hooked me. And she didn't disappoint in her live performance either! Much better song choice, much better performance! Great job Skylar!

Jessica Sanchez - You Are So Beautiful - Billy Preston
One word: BREATHTAKING. I think she finally remembered that this is a singing competition. (Man what is the deal tonight! I actually LIKED J. Sanchez!) This song was beautiful! That is the voice we know & love from her! I'm going there... She get's a Bomb-Diggity-Bomb-Dot-Com for that performance!

Josh Ledet - To Love Somebody - The Bee Gees

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzz... Oh sorry Josh put me to sleep. We can attribute that to the fact that his song was slow & boring or it was just so smooth & melodic. I'll let you decide.  And what's with the front of his hair? Are you going for a little frohawk? I don't get it, please stop.

Skylar Laine, Hollie Cavanagh & Jessica Sanchez - Higher & Higher - Jackie Wilson
The girls trio was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than the stupid boys duet! They just mix together so much better! I think the producers are biased towards the girls this season. A girl hasn't won in 5 years for a reason! Don't sabotage the boys!

Well folks, there you have it. Performance reviews from yours truly. ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT. Yea that's right, I'm on time & stuff. Oh snizap. You just got served. Goodnight.

My prediction for tomorrow:
Bottom 3 is Josh Ledet, Hollie Cavanagh & Jessica Sanchez.

I think Hollie is gonna go home this week. (and that makes me sad.)

American Idol Rundown

Yipee American Idol Day!
AND IT'S QUEEN NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I was excited! So let's get down to business and I'll let you know who was good & who sucked. And you will agree because my word is law. Boo-Ya Kasha

Show Opener - Queen Medley - All Contestants
LOVED. IT. Really all that needs to be said.

Queen Songs:
Jessica Sanchez - Bohemian Rhapsody
I really hated this with all my heart & soul. I think this was her worst week to date. I think she is a great singer, but this was bad, bad, bad!

Skylar Laine - The Show Must Go On
I didn't know this song, AT ALL, but I really kinda enjoyed it. I heart Skylar.

Josh Ledet - Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Meh... I kinda hated it. The judges just need to sit down!

Elise Testone - I Want It All
As much as I ADORE Elise, this song just didn't do it for me! that makes me super sad. Voice is still amazing, I just didn't care for the song.

Phillip Phillips - Fat Bottom Girls
Philly Phil, I love you, but you look constipated every time you sing. I liked it, but I didn't love it. I agree with The Dawg Randy Jackson this week.

Hollie Cavanagh - Save Me
I love the suit she wore! and I genuinely enjoy her voice, the song was very good! Never heard it before but she did a good job with it. She is my favorite of all the Queen songs.

Contestant Choice:
Jessica Sanchez - Dance With My Father
This song was soooooo much better than her Queen choice. You could just feel the emotion in her voice. Excellent job.

Skylar Laine- Tattoos on this Town
Anytime Skylar gets to do country is a good time. It's just her thing. She just sings the heck out of it every time! She will definitely go far in the country world, winner of American Idol or not.

Josh Ledet - Ready For Love
Again, so much better than his Queen choice. I've already told you guys I'm pretty over Josh, but he really did an amazing job with this song! (I think Queen just wasn't a good choice for these guys!)

Elise Testone - Bold As Love
I know this as a John Mayer song, but it's a Jimmy Hendrix song according to Steven Tyler. Who knew! I think she over-sung it a little. I just couldn't follow it. :(

Phillip Phillips - The Stone
(I love the little montage before his song. Oh Phil) Philly Phil is back! I loved this song. Screw Queen, don't force him into a box. He's a star! haha Lame, I know.

Hollie Cavanagh - The Climb
LOVE THIS SONG! And I love Hollie's version. I just love her. She may not win, but I would totes buy a Hollie Cavanagh CD and listen to it all the live long day!

Elimination show:
All I know from the elimination show is that my girl Elise went home. Yea, I Wikipedia'd it because I'm too dang tired to stay up and watch the whole show. I'm angry. :(

American Idol Top 7 & Elimination.

So. I hate to be a party pooper this week but I am so dang tired I just don't have the energy for a full post like I did last week. So I'm just going to give you a quick rundown of both shows and let that be that. Don't like it? Tough cookies!

Performance Show

Hollie Cavanagh:
Song 1 - I had goosebumps with the first notes. She seriously did an amazing job!
Song 2 - Not really a fan. Just didn't hit me like the first one did.

Colton Dixon:
Song 1 - HATED. IT! Sorry Colton, this just was NOT a good choice in song.
Song 2 - AMAZEBALLS! I seriously loved it!

Elise Testone:
Loved it! Both songs. She seriously is amazing to me! Her voice is so unique and I really just wish America would get on board and vote the right way! I did not however, like the orange dress she wore during the first song. The sheer orange billowy material just kinda made her look a little fatty fat fat. I'm. Just. Sayin'.

Skylar Laine:
I really enjoyed both of her songs. I wasn't a fan of the country Gaga version when it came out, but Skylar really did it justice!

Josh Ledet:
Ya know, I think I have just had enough of Josh. I really am just not a fan. He didn't do a bad job, I just don't really enjoy him.

Jessica Sanchez:
While I agree with America Jessica is a great singer, I just don't think she has "it". I don't believe she will win, but she did a great job on both songs.

Phillip Phillips:
Philly Phil can really do no wrong for me. Anyone out there who thinks so deserves a salmon slap!

Results Show

*Mr. Soul Patrol, Taylor Hicks, was in the crowd. Irrelevant. *eye roll*

*Kris Allen performed, and I adore him! I like... no LOVE his new song to!! New album here I come!

* LMFAO sang. meh... I like the song, performance was mildly entertaining, but it really did nothing for me.

*Bottom 3 was Hollie Cavanagh (umm why?), Elise Testone (seriously America?) & Colton Dixon (not surprised) and Colton went home. He didn't deserve to go home, in my opinion, but what can ya do. He had an off week and he was man enough to admit that he picked bad songs. He wasn't himself and that cost him a shot at winning.

American Idol. Top 7.

If you are a fan of AI, THIS IS THE YEAR TO GO TO THE LIVE SHOW! They are seriously amazing this year. With the exception of Deandre. Blech I just want to shave his head while he's sleeping... Ready for a re-cap?

Skylar Laine: Didn't You Know How Much I Loved You (By American Idol Alumni Kellie Picker)
I. Love. Skylar. She just has that growl in her voice and she is a little country princess if I've ever seen one! I don't personally think she is going to win, but she's got amazing talent and will go far!

Colton Dixon: Love The Way You Lie (By Skylar Gray)
I will admit, I don't remember Colton from last year, shame on me, and when I first heard him this year(ByI really was not a fan. BUT He has seriously impressed since then. His song this week was AMAZEBALLS! Like you would not believe!

Phillip Phillips & Elise Testone: Duet - Somebody That I Used To Know (By Gotye ft. Kimbra)
I have listened to this about 10 times on my recording. The only reason I have moved past this is because my sister Kayla is in here watching it with me. I'm not one to run out and buy songs on iTunes, but I just bought this one. No. Joke. I love these 2 togther more than I love Mac & Cheese and that's a lot!

Update: Actually it was a joke because iTunes doesn't have that song on there!!!! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!?!?!?!?!!?!?!

Jessica Sanchez: Stuttering (By Jazmine Sullivan)
J-dawg has some serious pipes, I will give her that. BUT I really did not care for this weeks song. She sang the shiz out of it, but the song in general kinda sucked. She should have picked a better one.

It's about here in the show where I spoiled the results for myself by going on Wikipedia. Nice job Jess... Stellar!

Josh Ledet: Runaway Baby (By Bruno Mars)
I don't know why... but I really am a Bruno Mars hater... It pains me to say that, and I think that is why I really didn't like Josh this week. #SorryImNotSorry

Colton Dixon & Skylar Laine: Duet - Don't You Wanna Stay (By Jason Aldean & Kelly Clarkson)
I like the song, I loved these 2 together last week but I did not love the harmonies this week. They did great in their individual parts, together it was just so so for me.

Hollie Cavanagh: Perfect (By Pink)
The accent is just so cute! And I loved her outfit too! This song was... well... PERFECT for her! She just has that strong low-ish voice that pink does.  Great fit, love Hollie!

Phillip Phillips: Give A Little More (By Maroon 5)
Can I just say that when fill sings, he looks constipated. Like for reals. Regardless, I love him always. He is my favey, my pick to win. I have yet to be disappointed in a song he's sang. This week was no exception. Love.

Hollie Cavanagh, Josh Ledet & Jessica Sanchez: Trio - Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)  (By Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson)
I will premise this with, neither of these 3 are really high on my favorites list. But the KILLED THIS SONG! Are you serious???? Ah-Maze-Balls to the max.

Elise Testone: You & I (By Lady Gaga)
Dare I say, she sang this better than Gaga??? In my opinion yes, and my opion is all that matters here! haha I love Elise, she's the whip! She just needs to keep picking great songs and singing the crap out of them like she has been! She may not win it all, but she will go far!

Results show: Really didn't care for the opening number. They sang Raise Your Glass by Pink... Meh. They handed out some fan mail, that was cute. James Durbin performed... Hated it. Not sure what kind of mic he was using, but it was stupid. Jennifer Hudson &
Ne-Yo performed... Love this song. I normally fast forward through the performances because they suck! But I watched this one. I want to rip that hat of Ne-yo's head, for reals you look like an idiot. Just. Sayin.

Bottom 3 surprisingly was Josh, Elise & Jessica. The looked on Jennifer's face when Jessica was voted out was seriously priceless. She was about to shank someone. The judges used their save to keep her around for one more week. They felt so strongly about it they ran up on stage, mid save me song, and took the mic out of her hands and said "go sit down, you aren't going anywhere"
